Resco Forms+ is a managed solution available on Microsoft AppSource (?). It showcases Resco's digital forms (inspections, questionnaires) on the Power Platform, from form design to data collection.

What is in the package

The Forms+ solution contains two preconfigured model-driven apps integrating the functionality of Resco's digital forms (Inspections).

  • Forms+ Manager app designed for users who design digital forms.
  • Forms+ User app designed for regular users who fill in the forms.

How to install Forms+

Installing Resco Suite

Forms+ requires Resco Suite (Woodford) managed solution as a prerequisite. You can skip this step if you already have an environment with Resco Suite installed.

  1. Go to the Microsoft AppSource marketplace and search for "resco".
  2. Find Resco Suite and click Free trial.
  3. Log in to your Power Platform/Dataverse/Dynamics account.
  4. Select the environment where you want to install Resco Suite and click Install. You must have admin rights in that environment.
  5. Wait until the installation is complete.

Publish a project in Woodford

  1. On the list of published apps in your organization, find Resco Suite and start it.
  2. Start Woodford.
  3. Click New to start the New Project Wizard.
  4. On the first page, select Inspector from the template gallery and click Next.
  5. On the second page, select the "Default" app or create it, then click Next.
  6. On the third page, enter a name like "App project". Select a role matching your Dataverse role, such as "System Administrator". Click Create.
  7. Double-click the new project and click Publish.
  8. Wait until the project is published. You can close Woodford.

(Optional) Install sample form

If you want to experiment with digital forms (questionnaires), it makes sense to have at least one such form available. You can either import a sample form template or create it from scratch.

  1. On the list of published apps in your organization, find Resco Forms+ Manager and start it.
  2. Select Design Forms from the menu to start Questionnaire Designer.
  3. Click Sample Templates on the toolbar.
  4. Select the templates you want to import, then click OK.
  5. Select the imported template, then click Activate or Publish.

(Optional) Install sample Dataverse data

If your current environment/organization does not include data, consider adding sample data for demonstration/training purposes. See Power Platform documentation for this subject.

Forms+ Manager app

This model-driven app aims to provide options to design forms via the embedded Resco designer tool. Also, it allows you to fill in the forms (questionnaires) or finalize them after your employees save them. Finally, you can easily view and export completed forms via a dedicated tool.

  • Get Started: The home page serves as an introduction to the app.
  • Answered Forms: List of questionnaires that have been answered (filled).
  • Form Templates: Templates are blank forms ready to be answered.
  • Accounts: The classic Dataverse table. Forms can be associated with table records and listed on table form.
  • Design Forms: Use the Questionnaire Designer for creating, editing, and managing form templates.
  • Export Results: Quickly access and export results from your forms.

Forms+ User app

This model-driven app offers a subset of functions in the manager app. It is used to fill in and view Resco questionnaires (forms).

What's next

Note You don't need Forms+ installed in your environment to make custom apps with Resco forms. Resco Suite (Woodford) contains all the necessary building blocks for that.
