Document roundtrip is a feature of Resco mobile apps that allows you to select a document attached to your form or questionnaire, open it in an external editor, and save it back directly to the database.
- On entity forms, this function is available without any additional configuration, as long as you have a suitable document attached to an entity record and listed on the form.
- On questionnaires, the person designing the questionnaire must add the original file as the default value for an Image/Media type question. The inspector can then modify the file while answering the questionnaire.
Prerequisites
This function requires that the app has access to files on the device. It is supported on the following versions of Resco mobile apps:
- Android app
- Windows 7 application
- Windows 10 Store app
Not supported on the iOS app and the web app.
